Christmas and a New Year's Wish

Christmas was merry and bright this year.

Not rushed.  Spent with family and friends.  The days after Christmas were quiet and calm.  Not rushed at all.  The kids played with each other, with their new toys, and with some friends.  We went hiking on Friday for 2 hours.  It was awesome.

Hoping the new year 2013 continues with what we had this Christmas week.

Life goes on around here...

Friday was her 7th birthday:

It was also Craft Day in her class.  We made catapults and launched mini-marshmallows.  Most of the boys said it was the BEST craft ever!!

Her birthday buddy.  Same birthday, born at the same hospital, same class for the last 3 years.  He gave her flowers.

That night she had dress rehearsal for the Christmas dance show.

Quiet time working on a paper city.

Flowers on the right from classmate.  Flowers on left from her Dad for dancing.

We also made time for friends.

Quiet Monday

Laundry,

My antique brass lock from Kansas finally on our pantry door.

Coffee break...

Started the Christmas cards...look for one in your mailbox...

Homework...

Technology break...

We built two zip lines.  This is the second one.  The first one had a short string & did not work that well.  So we pushed the couch out of the way and used a longer string.  SUCCESS!!!!!

Why yes, I do believe in moving your furniture out of the way.

Fort building never gets old.
