Dress Rehearsal

Tuesday was Olivia's fifth dance recital dress rehearsal.  The show is on Sunday & I can't wait.  

This is a really great group of girls Olivia gets to dance with each week:

This is the new director that took over the school this year.  She also happens to be the girls teacher this year.  I cannot say enough good things about her.  She is absolutely amazing.  Here she is going over a segment of the dance with the girls.  We love her!

This year the girls were Grade 1 dancers which means they have achieved a certain level of maturity in their ballet.

Watching them rehearse, it was completely evident how much their level of dance has grown from just last year!

They still have a lot to learn, but they are certainly getting there.  I love watching it happen.

Can I tell you how much the younger girls look up to the older girls?  They can't get enough of them!  This is one of the older girls they dance with for their next number.  They ran into her in the hallway and she was attacked.

What a great program she's lucky to be in!

Kindergarten to Fourth Grade, at a glance...

Yesterday Joseph "graduated" from elementary school.  In September he starts 5th grade at the Middle School.

He was bored starting the first week of First grade so his teacher gave him challenging homework the whole year.  She knew how to hold his attention.  That is a great teacher.

Mrs. LaFond set the bar so high right from the beginning.  She expected excellence and she got it.

Den 39:  Joseph has the BEST Den leader. Ken Kehoe.  He is so dedicated to these kids and tells us he often thinks of things for the boys to do while on his commute to work:
