Fastest week ever....

I really hope not every week this summer will go by this fast.
This week started with a last minute cancel to the beach, so we made some chocolate chip cookies using Edie's recipe from Lifeingrace, which unfortunately I can't seem to link to.  Try it.  It's the best.

We shared some with our neighbors and the pool guys (Olivia's idea).  We had the pool people over to replace our 30 year old leaking pipes.

Joseph started summer baseball on Tuesday night which means dinner before 5pm, unless we want to eat after 8pm. Nope.

The next morning they both started golf.  This is Joseph's 4th year and Olivia's first.

This morning we had the brilliant idea of going to the beach.  It was 67 degrees and windy.  We last one hour because we were freezing.  We never even took off our cover-ups.

This is "my" house.  I claimed it years ago, so it's true.  Just not on paper.

This sky was telling us to come back another day.  Whatever.

A man walking the beach called us "Die Hards" because we beached it today.  I like him.

At least we had the beach to ourselves.....

A Happy 4th & 5th

We partied for 2 days.
We started the morning of the 4th watching the Plymouth Parade.

It was hot.

Everyone felt horrible for this band from Ohio.  Look at all their clothes!  Look close and you can see that they were also wearing black gloves.  It was about 90 degrees, plus humidity.  God help them!

Champagne poppers and snaps for the kids.  They couldn't get enough of them.

Day 2:  competing for title of who can do a hand-stand for the longest time:

Just playing.

Then the ice-cream truck came!  Life doesn't get much better!!!  Aunt Nathalie treated.

A perfect finish:

A nice morning

A few minutes ago I heard, "Hey, Olivia!  Do you want to play school after?"
So glad they are still entertained by the simpler toys like PlayMobil, Lego, & Plan Toys.  Yesterday they played for hours together, and this morning went right back to it.
